• Summer update

    July 2012

It’s been a busy couple of years for me and I've finally come to the end of my studies (well, for now!)

I completed my Certification and Preconception to Postpartum Care course in the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage in Colorado last October. An amazing experience - not only in terms what I learnt but also in having the good fortune to study under Rosita Arvigo herself.

In April of this year I completed my Advanced Diploma in Nutritional Medicine - something I have been studying for a few years - so I was thrilled to finally finish. I recieved my certificate in June and am now fully insured to practice.

In addition to this I attended a day-long course in Traditional Chinese Cupping Therapy. Cupping is a brilliant therapy that I incorporate into massage treatments to assist in releasing tension and toxin removal. I will also include this in the Cleanse programme I am offering.

Now that I am finished I am thrilled to be able to use all my time and energy to build my practice, communicating with lots of people about what I do and the benefits that using natural medicine can have. To allow me to do this I have made some changes to my clinical practice that I'd like to tell you about.

At the beginning of April I started working from Mulberry House, Edinburgh’s largest Complementary Health Centre on Manor place in the West end. This is a fantastic clinic that I feel very privileged to now be a part of.

I will hold clinics at Mulberry House on Wednesdays 2.30pm-7.30pm, Thursdays 2.30pm-7.30pm, Fridays 9.00am-2.00pm

In June, after over 3 years, I left Neal’s Yard Edinburgh to focus on building my practice at Mulberry House.

I am still doing my weekend clinics up in Braco, Perthshire on the second weekend of each month. Since finishing at Neal's Yard these will now be able to roll over to a Monday.

More updates in the Autumn on my 5 day clease programme!
